Bio

Tommy Walls, Jr., is a focused and dynamic youth development and non profit
leader, and a product of various low-income, afterschool and first generation
programs, like Boys & Girls Clubs and TRIO federally-funded programs (Upward Bound, Student Support Services, and Ronald E. McNair Scholars program.

Currently, Walls serves as the National Director of Alumni Relations for the
Council for Opportunity in Education providing, advocacy, resources, support and engagement to nearly 1 million students and 5 million alumni in furthering the advancement of college access and success.

Additionally, Walls served as the Executive Director for a drop-out prevention-
focused non-profit for Communities In Schools of High Point, Inc., based in North
Carolina and served over 6,000 students and leading more than 15 employees and associate contractors. Walls has experience in leading several nonprofits that focused on nurturing at-risk youth. He has extensive management experience and program design and implementation.

Walls is also the founder and Chief Consultant of The Market: Professional Services Consulting, LLC that seeks to assist small to large businesses in all aspects of professional business to help their growth in efficiency and effectiveness for optimal performance. Walls provides services including but not limited to; strategic planning, swot analysis, grant writing and research, business plans, marketing plans, proposals, nonprofit applications, LLC applications, legal business support and more. Walls has provided services to over 100 individual clients and businesses.

Walls was the COO and Director of Operations for Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Charlotte, Assistant Vice President of Operations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County (Madison, WI) and Director of Program Services for Don Moyer Boys & Girls Clubs in Champaign, IL.

Walls currently holds a Master of Social Work (MSW), Advocacy, Leadership, and Social Change and an Organizational Human Services Management Certificate from the University of Illinois and at Urbana-Champaign. He has a Bachelor of Arts: Social Welfare and Justice (SOWJ), Pre-MSW Concentration from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and is currently enrolled at Capella University studying Doctor of Social Work (DSW) in the School of Public Service & Leadership. Walls has wealth of experience and is an innovative, charismatic, strategic leader with great ideas about new ways to serve clients and nonprofit organizations, especially those serving underserved communities. Walls is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity, Inc and enjoys playing and
watching basketball, taking on challenging tasks and traveling.
