Online Course: Supporting Student and Staff Wellness: Foundations and Strategies

This comprehensive two-week online course equips TRIO professionals with evidence-based approaches to support student wellness across the educational pipeline, as well as a focus on optimizing staff wellness. Participants will explore age-appropriate wellness frameworks, learn to recognize early warning signs of common challenges including adjustment, wellness compromises, and trauma responses, and develop practical intervention strategies tailored to different developmental stages. The course combines asynchronous learning modules with live discussion sessions, providing opportunities to analyze case studies, practice communication techniques, and design inclusive wellness initiatives that address various student needs while fostering persistence, emotional intelligence, and help-seeking behaviors within TRIO communities.

This ten-day online course has no live meetings to attend but participants are required to turn in assignments and discussions on specific dates. Participants who pass this course will receive a certificate indicating their success.
