Black History 365: Lessons for Learners and Leaders

When:  Sep 29, 2020 from 15:00 to 16:15 (ET)
The uprisings over the last several months in response to the high-profile murders of several African Americans demonstrates the critical need for a racial reckoning across our society. As educators working with low-income, potential first-generation collegegoers of all backgrounds, TRIO professionals have a crucial role to play in fostering such reconciliation and understanding. This free webinar will introduce TRIO educators to BlackHistory365 or BH365 – a comprehensive Black history curriculum targeting 9th-12th graders that spans from the 1500s to present day and is currently being adopted by school districts across the country. BH365 also includes resources and supports (including in-person and online instruction by professional development trainers) to allow educators to successfully implement the curriculum.
